These terms are an agreement between you and ContractScanner.app ("ContractScanner", "we", "us"), a product of MB Digital Design Service, Philippines. By using the site or buying credits, you agree to them. We have written them to be readable; please actually read them.
1. What ContractScanner is, and is not
ContractScanner is software that reads contract text and produces a plain-language report: a summary, clauses that may carry risk, questions to ask, and a draft negotiation email. It is an informational tool to help you understand a document before you sign it.
ContractScanner is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. No attorney-client or other professional relationship is created by using it. The report is produced by an artificial-intelligence model. It can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date, and it does not know the laws of your specific country, state, or city. You remain fully responsible for any decision you make, including whether to sign, negotiate, or walk away. For anything important, consult a licensed lawyer where you live. See our Disclaimer.
2. Who can use the service
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. If you use ContractScanner on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business to these terms.
The service is available worldwide and sold in US dollars. You are responsible for making sure that using it is lawful where you are, and you may not use it from a country or in a way that would breach sanctions or export rules that apply to us or to our payment processors.
3. Your documents
You may only upload or paste documents you have the right to use. By scanning a document, you confirm that doing so does not break any confidentiality agreement, law, or other obligation you have. You keep all rights to your documents. We claim none. How your text is handled is described in our Privacy Policy; in short, your file stays on your device and we store no contract text.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload content that is illegal, or that you do not have the right to share;
- use the service to harass, defraud, or harm anyone;
- scrape, copy, or automate access to the service, or resell it, without our written permission;
- try to break, overload, probe, or reverse-engineer the service or its security;
- share sign-in links or use another person's account.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
5. Free previews and paid credits
A limited free preview is available without an account. Full reports require credits.
- Credits are prepaid. One credit produces one full report.
- Prices are shown in US dollars (USD). Your bank or card issuer may add currency-conversion fees, and local taxes may apply.
- Credits are tied to the email address used at purchase, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash. All purchases are final, as set out in our Refund Policy; a report that fails to generate does not use the credit.
- Credits expire 24 months after purchase.
- If a report fails to generate, the credit is not used. A report that is blank, cut off or clearly did not read the document is re-run at no cost; see the Refund Policy.
Payments are processed by PayPal (PayPal balance, or a card as a guest). We never see your card details.
Delivery
Credits are digital. They are delivered to the email address you signed in with before paying, usually within seconds of payment and never later than 24 hours. You will receive a confirmation email with a receipt reference, and the credits appear on your account page when you sign in with that email. Nothing is shipped. If your credits have not appeared within one hour, email support@contractscanner.app with the receipt reference.
Right to withdraw (EU, UK and similar rules)
By paying, you ask us to deliver your credits immediately and acknowledge that delivery begins at once, so that any statutory right to cancel a digital purchase ends when the credits are delivered. The checkout page says this before you pay. Where the law where you live does not allow that right to be excluded, it still applies; see the Refund Policy.
6. Accounts
Accounts use one-time email links instead of passwords. Keep access to your email secure; anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. Tell us at support@contractscanner.app if you believe your account has been misused.
7. Changes to the service
We may improve, change, or discontinue features at any time. If we discontinue the paid service entirely, we will refund unused credits.
8. Our intellectual property
The site, its design, text, code, and name belong to us or our licensors. You may use the reports you generate for your own purposes. You may not copy or reuse the service itself.
9. No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Any report is a starting point for your own judgment, not a substitute for it.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, ContractScanner will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, including lost money, lost business, or losses arising from a contract you signed or did not sign after using the service. Our total liability to you for all claims together is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or USD 20, whichever is greater.
Some countries and states do not allow certain limits on liability or warranty. Nothing in these terms removes rights that the law in your location does not let us exclude.
11. Your responsibility to us
If your misuse of the service, or a document you had no right to upload, causes a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim.
12. Disputes
If you have a problem, please contact us first at support@contractscanner.app. Most issues can be sorted out in a few emails. If we cannot resolve it informally within 30 days, either side may pursue the matter in court. If you paid by card or PayPal, please talk to us before opening a dispute with your bank or PayPal: we answer within two business days, and a dispute takes weeks for both of us. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, where ContractScanner is operated, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for material changes, give notice on the site. Using the service after the change means you accept the new terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service.
14. General
If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest still applies. These terms, with the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Disclaimer, are the entire agreement between us about the service. If we do not enforce a term today, we may still enforce it later.
